BATMAN

PC1026

This piece is a reproduction of the Tolima Anthropomorphic Pectoral (often representing the Hombre Murciélago or Bat-Man), an iconic gold ornament originating from the pre-Columbian Tolima culture that inhabited the Middle Magdalena River valley of present- day Colombia between roughly 1 and 1000 CE.

These pectorals symbolized spiritual transcendence, protection, and the deep metaphysical bridge between the earthly and supernatural realms.
