This figure is an icon of Quimbaya pre-Columbian goldsmithing, commonly referred to as a Quimbaya Cacique (or Quimbaya Chieftain/Shaman figure). Originating from the Middle Cauca River valley in Colombia, this style flourished during the Quimbaya culture (specifically the Early and Classic periods, roughly 500 BCE to 1000 CE).

The figure depicts an elite member of society—often interpreted as a ruler (cacique) or shaman—seated or standing in a ceremonial pose. The original artifacts are preserved in institutions like the Museo del Oro in Bogotá, and reproduction of this modern jewellery set interprets the traditional motif using Colombian filigree metalwork.
