Reproduction of Pre-Columbian Quimbaya Poporo/Bird-Man" (Avian Deity) revival jewelery set, comprising a statement necklace and matching drop earrings.

The design is based on artefacts from the Quimbaya civilization (along with related Tolima and Tayrona cultures), an ancient indigenous culture that inhabited the Middle Cauca River valley in modern-day Colombia, thriving from roughly the 4th to the 10th century CE.

Jewelery of this style became widely popular in Colombia during the mid-to-late 20th century as high-end artisan reproductions to celebrate and preserve pre-Hispanic indigenous heritage.
