Zenú (Sinú) Filigree Jewelery (Pre-Columbian Reproduction Set) Originates from the Zenú (Sinú) culture, an ancient indigenous civilization that flourished between ~200 BCE and 1600 CE in the river floodplains of the Sinú and San Jorge river valleys of northern Colombia.
The circular and semi-circular openwork disks were originally worn as ear ornaments
(orejeras) and nose ornaments (narigueras) by chiefs and elites. The gold and
concentric spirals represented cosmic balance, solar deity worship, and status.
