This piece is inspired by the Spiral Pectoral (often associated with the indigenous Zenú or Nariño cultures of ancient Colombia), crafted using traditional cast-thread or false-filigree techniques. To pre-Columbian civilizations, the spiral was a sacred cosmic symbol representing the cycle of life, the sun's journey, renewal, and the continuous flow of energy between the earthly and spiritual realms. Leaders and shamans wore these polished golden discs across their chests during religious ceremonies, both as talismans of authority and as spiritual mirrors reflecting the divine light of the sun.
