Gold Falcon Collar (PH1011)
Reproduction of an ancient Nubian gold falcon collar, known as a wesekh collar, dating back to around 700 B.C. from the royal tombs at el-Kurru. It was worn by queens and pharaohs as a protective talisman, featuring the spread-winged falcon god Horus to shield the wearer in life and the afterlife.
It is currently held in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts.
